Role Title

£12 per hour


17.5 hrs per week

This post is funded by the Keep Scotland Beautiful Climate Challenge.

Purpose of the Post:

Responsible for delivering and meeting targets within the climate challenge funded project.

To be accountable to ANYiSO Board for the management and effective running of weekly workshop, and all climate change activities as required.

Have overall responsibility for developing, managing and delivering of climate change activities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

To be accountable and report regularly to ANYiSO board members on climate change duties/responsibilities on day to day issues.
To develop and manage the activities of the staff and sessional workers on the CCF project
To develop and manage all the activities of the project including energy saving workshops, swap shops, upcycling fashion shows and climate change awareness events
To be responsible for monitoring progress, outcomes including data collection, keeping records, reviews and reports of the climate change project
Be responsible for the continuing professional and staff development on climate change
Hold overall responsibility for budgets and oversee management and deployment of staff, sessional workers, and resources for the climate change project
Recruit, manage and coordinate volunteers of the climate change project
Develop opportunities to raise public awareness of climate change and
To provide, develop and facilitate activities for the African community to actively contribute and comment their views, ideas, issues, challenges and experiences on energy saving measures and climate change.
To be accountable for the monitoring of all administrative functions with regard to finance, including ordering, invoicing and payments of climate change project.
Monitor, evaluate and report the progress of the project and the difference it is making to project users using innovative evaluation techniques and tools in recording the results.

Person Specification

Qualification / Education/ Training

Bsc /HND degree in relevant field or relevant work experience in management or climate change

• Ability to introduce a range of activities and set up projects
• Able to maintain Confidentiality and adhere to Data Protection
• Good organisational abilities, good time management with high level
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Good report writing and record keeping
• Ability to get best out of individuals and work as a team
• Ability to Resolve and manage conflict and challenging behaviour
• Experience of working in a community setting with people who have a range of complex
Experience and understanding of networking. needs

Personal Qualities

Ability to speak other community languages e.g. Arabic, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba.
